The Observer photo by Kate Howes Award-winning art: Julia Campbell, a senior at Central DeWitt Community High School, holds her painting, “Beat of the Drum,” which took top honors at this year’s Festival of Trees event in downtown Davenport. Campbell said the painting was based on a picture taken by one of her favorite photographers, Jessica Altieri. The display at the Festival of Trees included the artistic creations of several Central DeWitt students.
