Student grant request proposes amphitheater at C-W High School
Cal-Wheat High School student Bethany Schmieder addressed the Wheatland City Council March 9 to outline her scholarship grant request project that involves constructing a proposed amphitheater adjacent to the high school. The property is owned by the school district.

DeWitt council balances 2015-16 general fund
In a relatively stress-free budget workshop Monday night, the DeWitt City Council made several tweaks to the proposed 2015-16 fiscal year general fund to assure tax rates would not change. The rates are currently at an estimated 14.07209 per $1,000 valuation on residential property.
