The Observer photo by Larry Lough Hog heaven: Space has been cleared for Monday’s groundbreaking for a new swine barn at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in DeWitt. The barn will be built on the former site of the sheep and poultry barns. The current swine barn will be remodeled for sheep and poultry.

City delays decision on AmericInn hotel signs
Fearful of setting a precedent, the DeWitt City Council has delayed action on a request from the city's new hotel to put up directional signs for the business.

Management for the new AmericInn being built in DeWitt had asked for "wayfinding" signs on 11th Street, the familiar blue signs directing people to the hotel.
