|Eileen Faye Flynn|
Eileen Faye Flynn, 68, of Wheatland, passed away suddenly Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017. Memorial services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, in Hope Lutheran Church in Dixon, with pastors Diane Prichard and Tessa Cavey officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland.
Eileen was born Nov. 18, 1948, in Davenport, to Earl H. and June H. Meyer Peekenschneider.
Eileen had a passion for golfing, fishing, NASCAR, and football, and was a Hawkeyes fan. She also enjoyed playing with her grandkids and going to cross country meets, and she was her kids' and grandkids' biggest fan.
Eileen was a member of the Dixon American Legion Auxiliary, and was a mom to everybody.
She is survived by a special friend of 27 years, Jan Schnede of Calamus; four sons, Todd (Tammy) of Wheatland, Chad (Justine) of Broomfield, Colorado, Brian (Amy) of Dixon, and Brett (Deana) of Broomfield; a daughter, Katie (Gilbert) Gomez of Carlsbad, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Karissa Mayerhofer, Miranda Mayerhofer, Sawyer Flynn, Nick Noel, Alexis Flynn, McLaine Flynn, Zachary Flynn, Collin and Kevin Flynn, Jocelyn Gomez, and Carver Gomez; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Ronald, Kevin, and Gene.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wheatland Ambulance.
