Loma D. Hann
Loma D. Hann, 86, formerly of DeWitt, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, Fla.

A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, with interment to follow.

Schultz Funeral Home of DeWitt is in charge of the arrangements.

The former Loma Dell Culp was born March 21, 1926, in Mutual, Okla., to Charlie and Ethyl Culp. While working as a nurse in Wichita, Kan., she met Lenn Irwin Hann in the hospital during his treatment after a near fatal construction fall.

Following their marriage they started a cross-country trek following major construction jobs, Lenn working as an ironworker and Loma, the job nurse.

Loma was the night nurse at Westwing Place for 25 years. Lenn died Aug. 10, 1990. Loma retired to Melbourne, Fla., in 2000, where she had resided since.

Her hobbies included cooking, knitting, reading and painting.

Surviving are sons, Lenn and Murray, and three grandchildren.

Loma also was preceded in death by three brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County.
