Stewart L. Stotesbery
Stewart LeRoy Stotesbery, 91, died Oct. 30, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn., from complications of a stroke.

A service of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, rural Calamus.  The Rev. Sarah Kretzmann will officiate

Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Stewart was born June 10, 1921, in Ortonville, Minn. to Uriass and Laura Sutliff Stotesbery. He was educated in Dubuque. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force Oct. 7, 1942, and was honorably discharged Jan. 19, 1946.

Most of Stewart's adult work life was spent in various banking positions and banks in Minnesota and Iowa. He also spent a long period of time traveling for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis as a bank examiner.

He was a member of Woodlake Lutheran Church in Richfield, Minn., and a former member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, rural Calamus. Stewart was a life member of the Fred Babcock VFW Post 5555 in Richfield and also was member of the American Legion, Masons and Shriners.

Stewart is survived by his wife, Alice Chandler Stotesbery of Richfield; children, Jim (Jan) of Rochester, Minn., Laura (Mark) Fischer of Orlando, Fla., and Corrine (Steve) Erb of Eden Prairie, Minn.; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Edith Gleason and Rose Galitz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a twin brother who died in infancy, two sisters and five brothers, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
