Connie Drummond
Connie M. Drummond, 91, of Bellevue, formerly of DeWitt, died Monday morning, Nov. 5, 2012, at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue.

A Service of Christian Burial was held Friday, Nov. 9, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt. The Rev. Jeff Wartgow and the Rev. Paul Gammalin officiated.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Pallbearers were Steve Olson, Tom Olson, Eric Bentley, Andy Bentley, Cecil Bentley and Mike Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be William J. Reistroffer, David Hafner and Don Henn.

Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Drummond, the former Constance Mary Telford, was born July 19, 1921, in Grand Mound to George and Phyllis Osborne Telford. Connie was united in mar-riage to Stanley Drummond Oct. 28, 1945, in DeWitt. Stanley preceded Connie in death Sept. 28, 1994.

Connie worked with the hot lunch program at Central Community Schools, DeWitt, retiring as supervisor of the program in 1986, following 28 years of service.

She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt, and was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, DeWitt Area Working Women and Republican Women. Connie served on the Elmwood Cemetery board in DeWitt for many years.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and William Reistroffer of Bellevue; grandchildren, William (fiance, Tammy Clasen) Reistroffer, Amy (Cory Meggers) Wenzel, Jennifer (Mike) Back, Jessica (Jeremy) Bates, Angela (Seth Haan) Reistroffer; great-grandchildren, Tyler Clasen, Whitley (Carl) Trenkamp, Justin and Madialynn Wenzel, Taylor, Torrie and Terrin Back and Connor, Ayden and Ashlyn Bates; a great-great-grandson, Rowyn Trenkamp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Stanley, Connie was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Miriam Olson and Valdene Pooch.
