Mary Angela "Angie" Farber Curtis
Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Angela "Angie" Farber Curtis, 80, a resident of Davenport, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport.

Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.

Visitation is Wednesday, Nov. 28, 4-7 p.m., at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport, with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. that all are invited to pray.

Angie died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, following a brief illness.

Angie Farber was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Clinton, a daughter of Raymond and Vera Martin Farber. She was raised in DeWitt until she started high school, and graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy, Davenport in 1950.

She was united in marriage to Paul Curtis Dec. 26, 1997, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport. He preceded her in death Oct. 5, 2005.

Angie was employed by the former Peterson-Harned-Von Maur for 10 years. She retired in 1990 from the Rock Island Arsenal, following 24 years as a supply specialist in the Defense Ammunition Directorate.

Angie was a member of the American Busi-ness Women's Association 1970-1989 where she won numerous awards. She also was a former star volunteer for the Genesis Medical Center Auxiliary, and a member of Holy Family Church for over 66 years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed her lunch dates with former co-workers or classmates from ICA nearly every single day. Angie was also a proud cancer survivor of 45-plus years.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Eileen and Richard Loos of Davenport; nieces and nephew, Patty (Ron) Miller of Moline, Mike (Tammy) Loos of Davenport and Beth Loos of Moline; great-nieces and great-nephews, Samantha (Landon) Geronzin, Erinn Shaffer, Billy Hermanson, Courtney Loos and Brandon Loos; and Mr. Curtis' children: Bob (Pat) Curtis of Blue Grass, Fran (Salvador) Santos of Pueblo West, Colo., Charles (Cammie) Curtis of Wheaton, Ill., Paul (Wendy) Curtis of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Connie (the late David Breece) Curtis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a great-niece, Kelly Shaffer, and her parents. May they rest in peace.
