Donald R. Otto
Donald R. Otto, 64, of Hornbeak, Tenn., formerly of Clinton County, passed away unexpectedly last week at this home.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A gathering of family and friends will be held in conjunction with visitation for his father, Marvin, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Pape Funeral Home., Clin-ton.

Private graveside services will follow at Springdale Cemetery, Clinton.

Donald was born in Clinton Dec. 12, 1948, the son of Marvin and Marilyn Niel-sen Otto. He graduated from Central Community High School, DeWitt.

He served with the U.S. Army in Vi-etnam and Cambodia during the Vietnam War.

Don was employed with the Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a founding member of the Eastern Iowa Threshers. He was an avid fisherman and collected and displayed gas engines throughout the Midwest.

Don is survived by his parents, Marvin and Marilyn Otto of Clinton; a brother, Terry (Roxanne) Otto of Clinton; a sister, Julie (Steve) Dilling of Rochelle, Ill.; five nieces; five great-nieces and great-nephews; and a sister-in-law, Kitrina.

He was preceded in death by a brother Gary.
