Richard 'Ric' R. Roling
Richard "Ric" R. Roling, 56, of Clinton died at home Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, after a long battle with heart problems.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, March 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sugar Creek.

Burial was in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Delmar. Pallbearers were Dennis Weimerskirch, Loran Roling, Craig Yoerger, Dale Schroeder, Ron Sullivan and Harold McClure.

Ric was born Nov. 30, 1956, to Sylvester and Mary Ann Luskey Roling-Koop in Clinton; he was a stepson of Jack Koop. He attended Northeast High School in Goose Lake.

Ric worked for Rocktenn in Clinton as a printer operator for 21 years. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Clinton.

Richard enjoyed riding motorcycles, building model rockets and airplanes. He cherished the time spent with his nieces and nephew.

Ric is survived by his twin brother, Ron (Carol) Roling of Clinton; sisters, Connie (Ron) Jurgs of Davenport and Dixie (Darrel) Ploog of Goose Lake; two nieces; a nephew; and a great niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.

A memorial fund has been established.

Law-Jones Funeral Home in Preston was in charge of arrangements.
