Kimberly A. Van Horn
Kimberly A. Van Horn, 48, of Clinton died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at her home after a long, hard-fought battle with diabetes and end stage renal failure.

In following Kim's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.

A musical celebration will be held Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Clinton with associate pastor Tami Ebensberger and Pastor Michael Brewer officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Kimberly Ann Van Horn was born to Dwain and Pat Bengston Van Horn. She graduated in 1983 from Northeast High School and continued her education with an associates degree from Mount St. Clare College.

Kim was very involved with her vocal musical talents at Northeast High School and was the soprano soloist for Handel's Messiah numerous times.

She was also the director of the choir at First Congregational Church and worked at the church as the activities coordinator and youth director. Kim also worked at Mount St. Clare in the admissions office.

Later, she worked for National Easter Seals in the marketing department, moving back to the Clinton area to be closer to family and friends as her health deteriorated.

Surviving are her life partner Laura Meyer; her mother and step-dad, Pat and John Wenzel; her brother, Kory Van Horn (Ronda Rannow); a niece and a nephew; three step-sisters and six step-brothers.

Her father and her grandparents preceded Kim in death.

Memorials may be made to the Northeast High School music and drama departments.

Pape Funeral Home Clinton, is in charge of the arrangements.
