Raymond John Hintz, 87, of Toronto, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, Wheatland,. Dianne Prichard will officiate.
Burial will be in the Massillon Cemetery.
Visitation is 9 a.m. until the service time Thursday.
Raymond was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Lowden to Edgar Sr. and Mildred Spencer Hintz.
He married Lovice Fritcher Nov. 23, 1947, in Lowden. She died April 24, 2011.
Raymond is survived by a daughter, Linda Steines of Toronto; sons Harlan of Toronto and Marvin (Cheryl) of Wheatland; two grandsons; sisters, Darlene (Duane) Jennings of West Union, Doris (Arnold) Lehrman of Stanwood, Marge (Robert) Ford of Tipton and Betty (Grant) Cobb of Silvis, Ill.; and brothers, Robert of McCausland and Edgar (Annie) of Lowden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister, Luella Potter; and an infant sister.
