Bill Moeller
Wilfred W. "Bill" Moeller
Wilfred W. "Bill" Moeller, 88, of DeWitt died Friday, April 12, 2013, at the Kahl Home in Davenport.

A funeral service was held Monday, April 15, at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt.  The Rev. Ron Rafferty officiated.

Schultz Funeral Home of DeWitt was in charge of the arrangements.

Wilfred Walter Moeller was born May 27, 1924, in Dunkerton to Walter and Martha Sundermeyer Moeller. He graduated from high school in Frederika.

He married Alice Traetow May 30, 1946, in Waverly.

Bill was employed by Farm Service and Pioneer Seed. He also owned and operated the DeWitt Farm Store for many years.

In retirement, Bill enjoyed mowing at Grace Lutheran Church and Camp. He and Alice loved wintering in Arizona, where they were senior citizen volunteers ushering for Padres and Mariners spring training games.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt, and the DeWitt Noon Lions Club. He enjoyed volunteering, sporting events, golfing and was an avid Cubs and Hawkeyes fan.

Surviving are his wife; children and their spouses, Julie (Mitch) Krukow of DeWitt, Rick (Dianne) Moeller of Springfield, Ore., Jane (Mike) Buege of Lisle, Ill., and Joel (Maureen) Moeller of Coralville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn (Lorin) Stacey of Bradenton, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Bill in death were a sister and a brother-in-law.

Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Camp or the Kahl Home, 6701 Jersey Ridge Rd., Davenport, Iowa  52807.
