Amanda Bruns Gonner
Amanda L. Bruns Gonner, 24, of Baldwin died Friday, June 7, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City from injuries received earlier in the day in an automobile accident near Welton.

Visitation was held Friday, June 14, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa.

Private burial will be held at a later date at the Buckhorn Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

Amanda Lynn Bruns was born Dec. 19, 1988, in Maquoketa to Mark and Dixie Carr Bruns. She grew up in Baldwin and was a 2007 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School. She was scheduled to graduate from Kirkwood Community College in December with an associate of arts degree in business administration.

She married Nick Gonner Aug. 8, 2008, in Monmouth.

She was employed as a DSP caregiver with Community Care in DeWitt.

Amanda was actively involved in her support of the Relay for Life each year. She liked being a redneck and enjoyed fishing, camping, hanging with friends, bonfires, country music, shopping with her nieces and doing anything with her son, "A.J."

Survivors include her son, Andrew Joseph Henry "A.J." Gonner; her mother of Monmouth and her father of Baldwin; a brother, Lonnie (Renee) Carr of Baldwin; and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A memorial fund has been established.
