Mildred "Millie" Stange
Mildred "Millie" Stange, 95, of Clinton died July 4, 2013, at Mercy Hospital, Clinton.

Memorial services were held Monday, July 8 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clinton, with Pastor Elizabeth Liggett officiating.

Burial was in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton.

Mildred "Millie" Stange was born Jan. 14, 1918, in Clinton to Henry and Christine Petersen Lass. She married Robert Baker in May 1935; he died in 1966. She married Earl Blinkinsop, who died in July 1973. She married Wilbur "Bill" Stange in 1975; he died in 1995.

She was a dispatcher for Veteran Cab for 20 years and also worked at A.C. Nielsen Clearing House for 20 years, retiring in 1982.

Millie was a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Mobile for 17 years. After retiring, she was a hostess at the Porthole in Clinton and Fulton.

Millie attended schools in Clinton. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, liked to sew and do crosswords, was a diehard Cubs fan and enjoyed golf.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Groh of Clinton; step-daughters, Kitty Willimack of DeWitt, and Kathy (Ross) Falion of New Jersey; step-sons, Darryl (Delores) Blinkinsop of Camanche, Dale (Mary) Blinkinsop of Clinton and Tom (Deb) Stange of Fulton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, a daughter, a son-in-law and three grandsons also preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Wounded Warriors.
