Mark D. Kleinsmith
Mark D. Kleinsmith 53, passed away Monday Aug. 5, 2013, at his home in Walcott.

Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at the Elwood Cemetery with a lunch to follow. 
Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland in charge of arrangements.

Mark was born Jan. 14, 1960, to Clyde and Darlene Rohwedder Kleinsmith in Maquoketa.



Mark was a hard-working man who loved to fish, was a great cook and liked to barbecue. Mark had a way of making people laugh and enjoyed spending time with Gwen. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Darlene Kleinsmith of Wheatland; significant other, Gwen Baker of Walcott; daughter, Kayla (Michael) Black of Davenport; brothers, Lance (Debra) of Jacksonville, Fla., Mitchell (Wanda) of New Orleans, La., John (Stacee) of Alaska and Scott (Amy) of Calamus; a step-son, Angel Baker; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew Jeremy.



 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
