Alta Badtram
Alta Badtram, 88, a former resident of Eldridge, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Pleasant Valley.

A memorial gathering for Alta and her husband, Harry, will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge.

A graveside service will follow immediately after at Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport.

Alta was born Feb. 10, 1925, in Scott County, the daughter of Otto and Hilda Kluever Ewoldt. She united in marriage to Harry Badtram Jan. 12, 1946, in Davenport. He preceded her in death Feb. 22, 2013.

Alta enjoyed her occupation as a homemaker, taking care of her four children, and later spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Mary (Richard) Feldpausch of DeWitt and Joann (Leonard) Bullock of Bettendorf; sons, Harold (Donna) Badtram of West Burlington and Roy (Deb Burk) Badtram of Donahue; her grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Feldpausch, Karen (Dominic) Hogan, Teresa (Brent) Perry, Koen Symens, Wendy Zaiss, Paul Badtram, Michael Badtram, Brian Klein, Kevin (Kim) Klein, Ashley Badtram, Cyndi Badtram, Todd Bullock, Mark (Kristine) Bullock, Kyle Bullock, Tara Bullock and Tia Bullock; her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Adele and Clarie Hogan, Abby, Nick and Will Feldpausch, Lucas, Hannah and Ryan Perry, Alex, Arron and Matthew Zaiss, Jaydon Badtram, Kaleb Klein, Brianna Archambault and William Bullock, and Ryan Perry; her brother, Kenneth (Mary Jo) Ewoldt of Delmar; her brother-in-law Edward Badtram; her sisters-in-law, Lori Ewoldt, Shirley Ewoldt, Frances Ewoldt and Mildred Badtram Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; her sisters, Caroline Backstrom and Erma Plambeck; her brothers, Orrie, Harvey, Lester, Donald, Waldo and Otto; and her granddaughter, Ann Feldpausch-Symens.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
