Hulda Healy
Hulda J. Healy, 98, of Peachtree City, Ga., formally of Maquoketa, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013.

Remembrance Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, at 10 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa.  Family and friends may call Saturday 9-10 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Pence Cemetery.

Hulda Julia Berner was born Aug. 11, 1915, in Baldwin to Henry and Margaret (Greenwoldt) Berner. She was united in marriage to John Healy Dec. 12, 1944, in Mt. Clemens, Mich.

Hulda worked at Clinton Engines as a machinist, and was a hotel manager in Maquoketa.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa.  She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

Hulda loved being a housewife, traveling and playing cards. She cherished the moments most when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by children, Patrick (Becky) Healy of DeWitt, Peggy (Bill) Ostrander of Brighton, Colo., and Sharon (Gary) Brown of Peachtree City; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters and three brothers.
