Joe Judge
Joe Judge, 60, of rural DeWitt died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at his home.

Joseph Patrick Judge was born March 17, 1953, in Clinton to Harold and Florence (Jess) Judge.  He was a 1972 graduate of Clinton High School.

Joe worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for several years and then was employed as a welder at John Deere.  He married Nancy Isenhour and later married Vicki Cox.  Joe and Vicki owned and operated Silver Creek Cleaning of DeWitt.  Most recently, he had been employed at Spahn and Rose Lumber, DeWitt.

He was very much a "Jack of All Trades" helping family and friends when needed.  Joe greatly enjoyed the Chicago Bears, Iowa Hawkeyes, Cordova Dragway and loud rock-and-roll with bonfires.  He especially loved the time spent with his grandson, Vaughn thinking of "super awesome ideas" as well as time with his children and dog, Boomer.

Surviving are children, Brad Judge and his wife, Tanya and their son, Vaughn of Lone Tree; Nicole Judge of Nederland, Colorado, Sara (fiance, Mike Nefzger) Judge of Stout and Brian Judge of Grand Mound; the children's mother's, Nancy and Vicki; a sister, Mary Ann Sullivan of Clinton; nieces and nephews.

Preceding Joe in death were his parents, siblings, David Judge, Sharon Jackson and Harold "Juddy" Judge.

The family will receive friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.  A service will be held at 2 p.m Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Fr. Paul Connolly officiating.  The family requests casual sports attire (ie. Bears and Hawkeyes).
