Robert J. 'Rowdy' Weeks
Robert J. "Rowdy" Weeks, 62, of Davenport died Saturday evening, July 5, 2014, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Davenport.

Robert was born July 21, 1951, to Vernon and Annabelle (Jackson) Weeks, in Washington. After graduating from high school in 1969 in DeWitt, he moved to Davenport, where he worked for Case IH until retirement in 2004. He also worked for the city of Davenport and the Davenport Public Library. In 2001, he married Ann Ganoe in Davenport.

Rowdy adored his family and friends. He was an avid reader, spending much of his time at the library. Rowdy loved baking Christmas cookies, which will be missed by many. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards, hunting and making everyone laugh.

In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by his son, Derrick (Jessica) Weeks of Arvada, Colo.; stepdaughter, Kaitlyn Halfacre of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; grandchildren, Noah and Scarlett; sister, Maria "MeMe" (Guy) John of DeWitt; niece and nephews, Amanda Earwood of Riverdale, Tom Vanderbilt of Whitehouse, Tenn., and Justin "Gus" Vanderbilt and Brandon John, both of DeWitt; and his faithful dog, Jimmy.

Rowdy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Lang officiating.
