Smith sees action at WaMaC Senior Shoot-out

By Ross Eberhart
Sports editor

Central senior A.J. Smith had one final opportunity to suit up for the Saber boys basketball team as he represented the team at Saturday's WaMaC Senior Shoot-out hosted by Benton.

Smith was one of 10 seniors to play for the WaMaC East as they took on their counterparts from the WaMaC West.

The Saber senior had four points in the game with a three-pointer and a free throw for the WaMaC East, who dropped a one-point heartbreaker to the WaMaC West, 78-77, in overtime.

The victory gave the WaMaC West a clean sweep as the division won the girls game as well, 60-49 (the Central girls did not have a player in the contest).
