What a difference a weekend makes. It truly was a tale of two days for the Central girls soccer team. Friday, junior Emily McAleer (left) and the Sabers enjoyed sunshine and seasonal temperatures during their game with Center Point-Urbana, but had to settle for a 3-1 setback to the Stormin’ Pointers. Three days later, Central found itself back in winter, but that was about the only negative of the Sabers’ 8-1 rout of Anamosa.

Warriors continue to show progress at Camanche dual
It might not yet be producing the results they want, but the Calamus-Wheatland boys and girls golf teams continue to witness plenty of progress being made in the early season.
