Saturday, April 2

• Scouting for Food: Area Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts will be collecting food donations in DeWitt, Grand Mound, Low Moor and Welton, 9 a.m. to noon for the DeWitt Referral Center. Rural residents are encouraged to participate by bringing items to the DeWitt Referral Center before noon.

• Legislative Coffee at the DeWitt Community Center, small room, 512 10th St., 11 a.m. to noon. The coffee is an opportunity for Clinton County residents to weigh in on important legislation under discussion in Des Moines. Sponsored by the DeWitt Chamber & Development Company and Clinton County Farm Bureau.

• Join the Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center for a night of surprise and drama to celebrate the revival of community theater, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Springbrook Country Club, 2122 17th Ave., DeWitt. • All-you-can-eat scholarship breakfast, 7 a.m. to noon at the Camanche Masonic Lodge No. 60, 220 Ninth Ave., Camanche. Free-will donation.

• Welton Volunteer Fire Department's All-You-Can-Eat Omelet Breakfast, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Welton Fire Station. Egg omelet of choice, cinnamon rolls, toast, jelly, coffee, milk, orange juice.

• Clinton County Board of Supervisors will meet, 9 a.m. at the Clinton County Administration Building, Conference Room B, 1900 N. Third St., Clinton.

• Tour of the current Clinton County law center, 3 p.m. Pre-register by contacting the Clinton County Justice Coordinating Commission (CCJCC) in advance, 563-243-6213, ext. 4310 or email ccjcc@clintoncounty-ia.us. The referendum for this project is May 3. Absentee ballot request forms are available.

• St. Joseph Catholic School 8th-grade class pizza buffet fundraiser at Hall of Fame Pizza & Wings, 902 Sixth Ave., DeWitt, 5 to 7 p.m.

• Calamus City Council meets the first Monday of the month, 6 p.m., 198 Second St.

• Lost Nation City Council meets the first Monday of the month, 6:30 p.m., city hall, 410 Main St.

• Town and Country Quilters meets the first Monday of the month, 6:30 p.m. at the Maquoketa Senior Center, 1000 E. Quarry St., Maquoketa (approximately one block west of the fairgrounds). All quilters are welcome.

• Clinton County Justice Coordinating Commis-sion will hold an educational forum regarding the proposed Clinton County Jail/Sheriff's Office/ 911 Communications Center, 6:30 p.m. at the Wheatland Community Hall, 107 Jefferson St.

• Low Moor City Council meets the first Tuesday of the month, 7 p.m. at the community center, 323 Third Ave.
