The Clinton County Board of Supervisors regularly meets Mondays in Conference Room B of the county administration building at 9 a.m. in Clinton.
Although additional items may be added to the agenda up to 24 hours before the meeting, the tentative agenda calls for the following items of business:
MONDAY, APRIL 14:
9 a.m.: Review correspondence and claims.
9:15 a.m.: Formal action, resolutions and motions.
Resolution: Approve request of Clinton half marathon committee for use of courthouse lawn on Sept. 7.
Resolution: Approve the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act threshold periods policy.
Resolution: Approve Clinton County public buildings policy.
Resolution: Temporary part-time personnel appointment, roadside management.
Resolution: Mobile home tax adjustments pursuant to Iowa Code Sections 435.25 and 555B.8.
Motion: Approve revised final plan set for project ER-CO23(98)-58-23 triple box culvert on Y-4E south of Wheatland.
Motion: Accept offer for purchase of assignment and compromise of county held tax sale certificate No. 030614 to parcel No. 8045170000, pertaining to property 1318 S. 17th St., Clinton.
Motion: Utility permit No. 10-62 for Eastern Iowa Light and Power to bore underground electrical lines within the county right-of-way along 170th Avenue in Sections 17, 20, 29 and 32 of Grant Township, T82N-R2E.
General public: This is the time that the public can address the board. Public comments will be limited to 3 minutes per individual.
Department heads, elected officials and employees (updates/requests will be limited to 5 minutes per department. Lengthier discussions will need to be scheduled as a separate agenda item).
9:30 a.m.: Discussion/possible action, waiver of one-year filing deadline for the final plat of J&B Acres.
10:00 a.m.: Public presentation/discussion, findings of final needs assessment and preliminary planning process for jail project, Brian McKenrick and Shive-Hattery representatives.
10:30 a.m.: Iowa drainage district association executive director John T. Torbert, CAE presentation of annual report to the board.
1 p.m.: Discussion/possible action, Elvira wastewater treatment project, sanitarian summers and Kent Rice, French-Reneker Associates Inc.
