The Northeast Community School Board will meet Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. in the media center at the middle/high school in Goose Lake.
On the tentative agenda are:
Public hearing on proposed disposition of Elvira property.
Recognition of visitors.
Reports, including transportation, nurse, technology, custodial assignments and early graduation request.
Advertisement of public sale of two buses.
Approval of second reading of debt management policy.
Approval of resolution disposing of tract B and conveying parcel to Scott J. and Karen Mohr and the disposition of tract C and conveying it to Gregory Hoover in consideration of the district being removed from further transactions which may involve said real estate.
Consider approval of contract with Tri-State Sprinkler Inc. in the amount of $94,225.
Consider approval of contract with Northwest Mechanical Inc. in the amount of $107,379 (controls).
Consider approval of contract with Northwest Mechanical Inc. in the amount of $1,277,382 (mechanical system).
Consider approval of contract with Modern Builders Inc. in the amount of $209,519.
Consider approval of contract with Iowa Direct Equipment in the amount of $113,995 (gym floor).
Consider approval of contract with Sendoff Masonry in the amount of $737,006.
Approve administrative recommendation(s) for employment of elementary special education associate and golf coach.
Approve request to attend overnight University of Iowa Choral Festival in Iowa City Feb. 16-17.
Review proposed 2014-2015 school calendar.
Approve request to the school budget review committee for at-risk prevention allowable growth for the 2014-2015 school year.
Closed session to discuss strategy with counsel in matters where litigation is imminent and where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of this school district in that litigation. (Section 21.5(1)(c)).
Take any action resulting from closed session.
