Barb Hanas held the October business meeting in her home, with Mary Rueter assisting as co-hostess.

As part of the regular business meeting, Susan Kruse, Kay Fleagle, Julie Krukow and Phyllis Caldwell participated in a P.E.O. memorial tribute to Ruth Schroeder, who passed away recently. She had been a member of P.E.O. Chapter BG for 73 years.

A unique program, “Love Made Visible Through Music,” was given by Jody Smicker. Smicker, a pianist and vocalist, presented a beautiful concert and an entertaining sing-a-long of old favorites.

Four members will attend a reciprocity brunch at Rastrelli’s hosted by a Clinton Chapter.

Kay Fleagle hosted the November business meeting of Chapter BG, with Carol Beck assisting as co-hostess.

Carolyn Eggleston, with Program for Continuing Education, shared information regarding a Texas chapter supporting a local organization helping women in need.

Betty Sherer, with Cottey College Project, reported the P.E.O. college ranked among the best of Midwest Colleges. (Survey was taken by U.S. News and World Report).

Items were collected for packages being sent to Chapter BG scholar recipients Rachel Green, Skylar Bloom and Cottey Cottage student Olivia Kirkindall.

The evening program, “Love Made Visible Through Generosity,” was presented by DeWitt Referral Center director Michelle Ehlinger. She spoke of importance of the center in the community. The chapter collected food items and cash donations for the center.
