WHEATLAND — Clinton County officials said Monday they were investigating the death of a man killed in a skid loader accident.
According to a press release issued by Clinton County Chief Deputy Steve Diesch, the county received a 911 call shortly before 10 a.m. Monday reporting the accident at a business in the 300 block of East Lincolnway in Wheatland.
Wheatland Fire and Ambulance crews discovered a male had been working on the skid loader when the boom came down on him. He was declared dead at the scene.
His name has not been released by authorities, who are waiting for family to be notified.
The death remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Clinton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
