Help Central DeWitt’s Class of 2022 celebrate the end of their high school career and the beginning of their independent futures.

The public commencement ceremony will take place at Birney Field behind the high school Sunday. Gates will open at 2  p.m. and no ticket is required. Guest seating will be available in the home-side bleachers or on the football field; the stage will be set up at midfield. A large screen attached to the stage will provide an added viewing angle. 

The ceremony will also be livestreamed. 

Following the ceremony, a parade will snake through town starting at the south parking lot before following a route on north on Fourth Avenue East, west on 10th Street, south on Third Avenue, east on Fourth Street, south on Third Avenue West, and west on Second Street before ending in DeWitt’s downtown on Sixth Avenue. 

The parade will begin at approximately 4:15 p.m. 

The Northeast Community School graduation ceremony will also take place Sunday, May 22,  starting at 2 p.m. in the high school gym. Bleacher and floor seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will also be livestreamed. 

Calamus-Wheatland’s graduation ceremony was held May 15.
