Local residents will have opportunities to meet area legislators in an informal setting during monthly Legislative Coffee events slated for the first four months of 2020.
The first Legislative Coffee date is 11 a.m. Jan. 18 at the DeWitt Community Center. The other dates include Feb. 15, March 7 and April 4, all at the community center beginning at 11 a.m.
Invitations to the series have been extended to Iowa Sen. Chris Cournoyer and state Reps. Norlin Mommsen and Mary Wolfe. The series is sponsored by the DeWitt Chamber and Development Company (DCDC), Clinton County Farm Bureau and the Central DeWitt Community School District.
The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 721 S. 2nd St. in Clinton, also will be hosting its own Legislative Coffee events at 9 a.m. on the same dates as the DCDC events.
