Early detection is the key factor in stopping breast cancer in its tracks.

As part of its activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month last October, the DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation’s Pink Committee set a goal of raising funds to provide 50 free digital breast exams for women who cannot afford them.

Rural Clinton County women who are due for a mammogram but do not have insurance now have an opportunity to receive a voucher for a free 3D mammogram at Genesis Medical Center-DeWitt.

Some restrictions apply. Eligible women must be 40 years or older and must meet income guidelines. The offer is limited to the first 50 applicants and is good for a limited time only at Genesis Medical Center-DeWitt. A voucher must be presented at time of registration.

Vouchers are available at the DeWitt Referral Center, local physicians’ offices or by calling the hospital foundation office, (563) 659-4233.
