Volunteers are needed in the Clinton area for the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program.

The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer is assigned to one case at a time by the juvenile court judge. The CASA can offer an independent perspective on the case and help move the child’s case through the system, and toward permanency at the earliest time possible.

The volunteer advocate will receive mandatory training to learn about the child welfare system in Iowa. The CASA will report back to the juvenile court and make recommendations on behalf of the child’s best interest.

For more information about CASA, visit https://childadvocacy.iowa.gov, or call Nancy Manion at the Child Advocacy Board program, (563) 323-3616,
