PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. The next statement will be issued Sunday morning. && ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO SUNDAY, JULY 03... * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...From this evening to Sunday, July 03. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Overbank flooding occurs. Water affects residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water affects businesses along the river near Calamus. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.5 feet...and rising quickly. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this evening to 11.5 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 10.3 feet. It will then do a secondary rise above flood stage again Tuesday evening, rising to 12.2 feet early Friday afternoon.
