Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton
Counties.

.Very heavy rainfall of 3 to 5 inches fell early Saturday morning
upstream of De Witt in eastern Iowa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO SUNDAY, JULY

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.

* WHEN...From this evening to Sunday, July 03.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Overbank flooding occurs. Water affects
residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water
affects businesses along the river near Calamus.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.5 feet...and rising
quickly.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this
evening to 11.5 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall
below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 10.3 feet. It
will then do a secondary rise above flood stage again Tuesday
evening, rising to 12.2 feet early Friday afternoon. It will
then fall below flood stage again next Saturday morning.
