Anna Marie Paarmann

Anna was born March 18, 1931, in Iowa City, the daughter of Arthur and Frieda Leese Marshall. She was a DeWitt High School graduate. She married Wayne Malvern Paarmann on March 12, 1950, at Grace Lutheran Church in DeWitt. Wayne died Oct. 22, 2016.

She farmed with her husband, Wayne, in the DeWitt area from the age of 18. She had also worked A.C. Nielsen, and in the office at Carpetland for several years.

She was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three children, Nancy (Eric) Kutzli, of Stanton; Steven (Cindy) Paarmann, of Davenport, and Thomas (Deb Determan) Paarmann, of Camanche; six grandchildren, Matthew Kutzli, Daniel Kutzli, Vernon Wayne Paarmann, Derek Paarmann, Nicole Paarmann and Shawn Paarmann; three great-grandchildren, Eric and Elisabeth Kutzli and Catalina Paarmann; and a sister, Elizabeth Mansfield, of Iowa City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four daughters, a son, and a brother, Daniel Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elvira Zion Lutheran Church.
