Donald E. Stuedemann

     Donald was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Clinton, the son of Fred and Bertha Schwartz Stuedemann. He was a 1949 graduate of Elvira High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1954.  Donald married Marilyn Goettsch on Aug. 25, 1957, in Clinton.  He farmed on the family heritage farm in Clinton County near Elvira his whole life.

   Donald was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton, where he served as a trustee and an elder.  He was past director for the Iowa Pork Producers, and a member of the Clinton Farm Bureau and the Miles American Legion Post No. 677.

   He enjoyed going on John Deere tractor rides in parades, bowling, horseshoes, and playing cards.

   Donald is survived by his wife, Marilyn Stuedemann of Clinton; three daughters, Janet Stuedemann of Denver, Colorado, Donna (David) Anderson of Elliott City, Maryland, and Nancy (Rey) Eduvas of Savage, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Kevin, Kara, Zachary and Maya.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
