Winston was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, Low Moor Lions Club and Low Moor Fire Department. He was also a longtime member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and flying in spare time. Winston soared like an eagle in the Challenger he built. He reveled in taking people up and sharing his love of flying. It was important to him to offer his time and resources, so others can enjoy the same. He wanted to set everyone up for success. He loved spending his summers in Shell Lake, Wisconsin, and spending time with his Shell Lake family. He traveled across the U.S. at any opportunity to see friends and family. Relationships were very important to him. He was close to his children and adored his grandchildren. He looked forward to watching them grow. Winston was full of love and life, and he enjoyed every minute of it. His passion for life was felt by all those who knew him.
